This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Develop, oversee, and enhance a detailed weekly and monthly content calendar that aligns with organizational goals, campaigns, events, and timely educational news.
• Produce high-quality, original content including posts, captions, threads, video scripts, and graphic briefs.
• Manage and expand ACE’s organizational accounts on X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Establish and maintain the CEO’s professional social media presence, primarily on LinkedIn and X.
• Write thought-leadership posts, video messages, and interview summaries; facilitate ghostwriting and approval workflows.
• Attend significant events with the CEO and provide real-time social media coverage.
• Ghostwrite and share live updates, threads, stories, captions, videos, and highlights on behalf of the CEO.
• Collaborate with organizational partners on coordinated campaign messaging across various channels.
• Monitor channels daily, respond promptly, and engage with the community, including evenings and weekends during peak periods or events.
• Develop and implement social media strategies for major events, encompassing live coverage, real-time posting, post-event amplification, and reporting.
• Schedule and disseminate content using social management tools.
• Coordinate with organizational partners, state teams, development, scholarship programs, and external PR/communications vendors.
• Track performance metrics, analyze insights, and provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership regarding engagement, growth, and ROI.
• Ensure that content adheres to nonprofit best practices, brand guidelines, and platform policies.
• Travel occasionally to accompany the CEO at key events and speaking engagements, capturing and posting content in real-time.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in social media management, preferably within nonprofit, education, advocacy, or political/issue-based organizations.
• Strong journalistic or professional writing experience with a proven portfolio of engaging, story-driven content; writing samples or portfolio are required.
• Proven success in managing X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn while growing audiences organically.
• Strong alignment with ACE’s mission, values, and founding principles.
• Experience in building and managing executive/CEO thought-leadership channels.
• Experience in managing multiple channels and producing content during live events.
• Exceptional project management skills and the ability to own strategy while executing at a high volume at a managerial level.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field.
• Technical proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Sprout, and MarTech project management platforms.
• Experience with video content creation/editing and YouTube channel management is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with education policy and current events in the K-12 sector is preferred but not required.
• Experience within a national or multi-state organization is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel 25–33% throughout the year.
• Comfort working within conservative or religious partner environments.
• Strong strategic thinking, hands-on execution, collaboration, emotional intelligence, professionalism, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity.
