This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convey the Benefits of Study Abroad – Inspire and educate U.S. high school students and their guardians about the transformative advantages of studying abroad.
• Engage and Inspire Applicants – Implement a structured outreach strategy to proactively connect with students and families through phone, text, and email, aiming to convert leads into open applications.
• Support Students Through the Application Journey – Provide guidance and assistance throughout the scholarship and application process, aiding families in overcoming obstacles to participation.
• Deliver Outstanding Customer Service – Offer timely and professional support to students and parents from the initial inquiry through program acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure preparation.
• Manage High Call Volume – Regularly exceed 30 calls per day (resulting in over 500 minutes of talk time weekly), adjusting outreach efforts based on application volume fluctuations and high-potential areas.
• Conduct Virtual Webinars – Lead large group presentations for students and parents, including some evening sessions.
• Present at In-Person Events – Visit high schools to engage with students and families, requiring occasional domestic travel.
• Review Applications and Approvals – Assess applications for eligibility, authorize acceptances, and convert applicants into confirmed, paid participants.
• Oversee Participant Financial Records – Ensure accurate financial documentation, follow up on payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize Salesforce for Applicant Management – Track and manage applicants, maintain precise communication records, and work toward enrollment goals within our CRM system Salesforce.
• Provide Support for Summer Programs – Assist participants during their program experience.
• Aid Recruitment Initiatives – Travel domestically as needed to promote programs and represent the organization at school events.
• Accompany International Student Flights – Chaperone student groups on flights up to once a year.
• Participate in Ongoing Professional Development – Engage in sales and professional training sessions to enhance effectiveness and career growth.
• Adapt to a Flexible Work Schedule – Availability for some evening hours is necessary to accommodate students and guardians.
• Offer Emergency Travel Support – Be on call for 1–2 travel weekends per year to help with urgent situations.
• Exhibit High Flexibility – This role does not have assigned territories and requires adaptability to support various regions and team needs as priorities change.
• Manage Pipeline Coverage – Step in when other Coordinators are at in-school presentations or on PTO to ensure outreach continuity.
• Support Seasonal Staff – Monitor sales calls and provide coaching to enhance the effectiveness of seasonal employees.
• Assist with Onboarding and Training – Support the Conversion Coach in onboarding and continued training of new hires, along with other assigned duties.
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
• At least two years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
• Experience working with diverse high school students is advantageous
• International travel or study abroad experience is a plus
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with students and families and tailoring communication to various audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in handling challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
• Strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment
• Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and engaging with customers via phone, email, and text
• Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) is advantageous
• Willingness to work some evening hours, weekends, and travel domestically and internationally as needed to support students and families
