Student Safety Specialist – Content Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Proactively monitor queues to assess and respond to alerts indicating potentially concerning student behavior.

• Evaluate flagged content (such as self-harm, violence, child sexual abuse material, and bullying) to discern context and student intent.

• Recognize harmful online activities and communicate with clients to recommend suitable responses.

• Collaborate with various teams (including Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Success) to address client requirements.

• Continuously enhance skills and knowledge regarding the latest online threats to students.

• Review escalated alerts and reach out to school officials via phone to prompt immediate action.

• Identify emerging issues and trends to guide solution development.

• Engage in team projects and initiatives.

• Work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all staff levels, clients, and emergency services.

• Proficient in documenting and recording information clearly.

• As an open-minded individual, you are prepared to objectively assess and categorize highly offensive and sensitive materials.

• Commitment to safeguarding data privacy and confidentiality.

• Ability to diligently follow established processes.

• Exceptional organizational and reasoning abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent client service skills.

• Deeply passionate and focused on our mission.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and a sense of urgency.

• Highly motivated self-starter.

• Current knowledge of social media trends and terminology.

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience in crisis prevention, counseling, trust and safety, or similar fields is preferred but not mandatory.
