Student Assistant – GIS, Remote Sensing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will assess literature and analyze existing methodologies, data, publications, etc.

• You will process and analyze GIS and Remote Sensing data under supervision.

• You will create presentations and documentation.

• You will assist in project-related tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Enrolled in a program related to geography, geoinformatics, agriculture and forestry, agricultural economics, or a field with a focus on sustainability, environmental, and climate protection topics.

• Proficient in QGIS or ArcGIS.

• Experience with geospatial analysis and geodata processing.

• Familiarity with programming languages is a plus (Python, R, Java Script for GEE).

• Excellent command of spoken and written English is required (minimum C1 level).

• Capability to work both independently and within an international team.

• A proactive approach to work and strong attention to detail.

• Availability as a student assistant for 10 to 20 hours per week, by arrangement, for at least one year.

• Proficient in standard software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
