This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and improve large-scale interactive maps, incorporating layer controls, operational color-coding, and manual override capabilities.
• Create and sustain operational dashboards that turn complex data into user-friendly and actionable experiences.
• Implement frontend experiences that are accessible and compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Assist in accessibility verification during the entire development process.
• Utilize geospatial and operational data to design interactive, responsive, and user-centric map-based experiences.
• Engage in beta feedback sessions, resolve defects, enhance UI, and fortify applications through acceptance testing.
• Collaborate using documented designs, code reviews, Git-based workflows, and systematic development processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance efficiency and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Frontend Development or Frontend Engineering.
• Strong practical experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally React or Angular.
• Practical experience in creating interactive web mapping applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, MapLibre, Leaflet, Google Maps, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with geospatial or location-based data in frontend applications.
• Experience in developing data visualizations, dashboards, and data-centric user interfaces.
• Direct experience in implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines.
• Comprehensive understanding of modern JavaScript, frontend development methodologies, and component-based architectures.
• Proven experience in building scalable and maintainable user-facing applications.
• Proficient in Git and collaborative development practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar solutions.
• Background in structured delivery environments with documented designs, code reviews, and ticket-based workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capability to maintain at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
