This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute GIS program activities utilizing GIS hardware and software to generate maps, spatial databases, and thematic data.
• Create, modify, rectify, manage, convert, and disseminate base maps and thematic data.
• Develop programs and user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands tailored to user requirements.
• Conduct basic spatial analyses and generate reports.
• Support the GTG Consulting team in developing GIS systems and solutions for applications in government and industry.
• Organize, manage, create, edit, and refresh GIS data within spatial databases.
• Document procedures and workflows comprehensively.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of GIS data through validation.
• Maintain and populate metadata.
• Create maps and other GIS products adhering to best practices.
• Offer training, troubleshooting, and database management support to clients.
• Assess the quality of tabular and spatial data.
• Execute data migration and conversion activities.
• Collect GPS field data as necessary.
• Conduct GIS spatial analysis and data manipulation.
• Collaborate with client agencies to provide data to external users.
• Deliver GIS support for projects under the guidance of a Project Manager.
• Create GIS products and maps; digitize paper maps and spatial data.
• Prepare metadata for maps, datasets, and geodatabases.
• Manipulate, analyze, and interpret data from diverse sources and formats.
• Complete projects punctually, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
• General understanding of implementing GIS data and solutions within government settings.
• Experience working with GIS data related to government operations.
• Proficiency with parcel maps, orthophotos, historical data, transportation data, health data, or comparable datasets.
• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS Desktop and/or Pro is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related discipline.
• Capability to perform tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Visual acuity necessary for preparing and handling data and figures, operating a computer terminal, engaging in extensive reading, and utilizing measurement devices.
• Occasional travel may be required as needed.
