This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Lead and execute structural design for substation facilities, encompassing foundations, steel structures, equipment supports, and various structural components.
• Assist projects through every phase, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, permitting support, and construction administration.
• Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, designers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive and buildable designs.
• Offer technical guidance and review designs created by junior engineers and designers.
• Engage in client meetings, address contractor RFIs, and provide necessary construction support, including occasional travel to project sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on structural aspects.
• 6+ years of advancing structural engineering experience, ideally with a background in substation or industrial facilities.
• Proficient in designing concrete foundations and structural steel systems.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, IBC, ASCE).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred or the capability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
