Senior Civil Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• The Senior Engineer will serve as the engineering lead on multi-disciplinary projects and engage directly with our clients.

• Collaborate with teams specializing in hydrology, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering.

• This position directs technical resources within the civil engineering organization, engaging with numerous projects and clients at a high level while mentoring project engineers.

• A strong foundation in Civil Engineering design is required, encompassing grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, as well as SWPP calculations and reports.

• Offer technical leadership to staff utilizing Civil 3D, focusing on alignments, profiles, and grading features to create engineered construction plans.

• Review and oversee calculations performed by others to ensure compliance with quality standards for stamping construction drawings and reports.

• Manage financials at the project level and prepare proposals for PV, BESS, HV, and Wind projects.

• Delegate tasks to junior engineering staff involved in Renewables projects.

• Provide construction support to our clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.

• A Professional Engineer license is required.

• Experience in data center and large-scale site development projects is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in design software, including Civil 3D and HydroCAD, is essential.

• Experience in renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind, or battery storage, is strongly preferred.

• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience is required.
