This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee a bridge replacement initiative for the Onondaga County Department of Transportation.

• Perform construction field assessments and leverage expertise in various construction tasks.

• Analyze contract plans and specifications.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.

• Commence construction activities in early July 2026, with an expected completion date in November 2026.


⛳️ Requirements

• Exhibit proficiency in the following software: MS Outlook/Word/Excel, Bluebeam, and APPIA.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients.

• Showcase strong interpersonal abilities and effectively engage with project safety supervisors and construction work foremen to ensure a secure work environment for crews and the traveling public.

• Conduct consistent on-site evaluations to confirm that construction practices adhere to approved plans, specifications, and relevant codes.

• Guarantee that construction endeavors align with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Be skilled in utilizing APPIA to keep comprehensive records of inspections, including photographs, notes, and reports.

• Draft inspection reports detailing findings, discrepancies, and necessary corrective actions.

• Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to review inspection outcomes and address any concerns.

• Offer guidance on corrective measures to rectify non-compliant elements.

• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specified standards.

• Identify and report any deviations from approved plans and specifications.

• Assess construction sites for compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

• Promptly report and address any safety hazards or violations.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and facilitate smooth project progress.

• Participate in meetings to provide updates on inspections and discuss any concerns.

• Must possess reliable transportation.
