This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Provide an in-depth overview of your daily and project-specific workflows.
⢠Discuss real (appropriately anonymized) projects to convey the design intent behind your work.
⢠Evaluate product concepts and initial prototypes: honestly share where they could save time, introduce risk, and how they might falter in practical application.
⢠Assist in identifying points of structural handoff to civil and MEP professionals, as well as architects and contractors, and recognize where coordination tends to fail.
⢠Clarify the aspects of work that require essential engineering judgment versus those that involve repetitive processes suitable for automation.
⢠Must hold a PE license (SE preferred) with practical structural design expertise in one or more material types (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
⢠Proficient in analysis and documentation software such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, SAP2000, and Revit Structure.
⢠Possess a strong curiosity about how systems operate, along with the capability to articulate the rationale behind current practices.
⢠Have well-formed opinions about the workflows in your discipline, including identifying their shortcomings.
