Structural Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create drafts for industrial equipment, supporting structures, and concrete foundations.

• Work in collaboration with internal engineering teams and client representatives to fulfill project requirements.

• Generate high-quality models and drawings utilizing Tekla Structures.

• Perform thorough reviews of drawings to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.

• Offer structural expertise related to silos, bins, conveyors, mixers, and associated equipment.

• Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and coordination efforts.

• Engage with the engineering team to address design challenges effectively.

• Convert engineering requirements and on-site realities into practical structural designs.

• Produce clear, feasible designs prepared for fabrication, inspection, and implementation.

• Identify and rectify any missing drawing information, misalignments in design specifications, and overlooked site requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel and foundation design for industrial applications.

• At least 5 years of expertise in Tekla.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI, IBC, and AWS D1.1.

• Experience with fabrication processes and job site coordination is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.

• Availability to work from 9AM–5PM EST.
