Strategic Sourcing Specialist III – Healthcare Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Identify, plan, implement, and monitor opportunities for expense reduction or utilization within the supply chain.

• Optimize the selection, standardization, and usage of products and services.

• Ensure that products and services are accurately priced, available on time, properly stocked, and delivered efficiently.

• Conduct advanced analytical assessments and scenario-based evaluations of outcomes.

• Enhance product and service expense and pricing through supply market analysis, value analysis, benchmarking, and utilization assessments.

• Carry out competitive analysis and bidding processes for assigned categories.

• Formulate and implement supplier negotiation strategies.

• Establish contractual agreements for designated product and service categories.

• Assess contractual agreements, proposals, commercial terms, business risks, and compliance with guidelines.

• Monitor ongoing portfolio expenses post-contract execution for category and contract adherence.

• Create a semi-annual pipeline for savings opportunities through renegotiation, RFPs, spend consolidation, procurement support, technology adoption, and e-sourcing initiatives.

• Conduct thorough financial analysis to facilitate comprehensive value-based decision-making.

• Organize Value Analysis meetings as necessary.

• Design complex bid solicitations, evaluate proposals, and negotiate vendor contracts.

• Ensure that the bidding process is open, fair, transparent, and adheres to ethical procurement standards.

• Influence and negotiate contracts worth millions of dollars to achieve strategic goals.

• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, team members, and vendor organizations.

• Develop processes for managing supplier performance.

• Utilize standard practices, procedures, and tools to meet objectives and deliverables within time and budget constraints.

• Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership as well as Supply Chain subdivisions to address patient care requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Required).

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Direct Sourcing, Contract Management, Category Management, or a related business discipline.

• Critical Thinking skills.

• Experience in Information Technology Project Management.

• Ability to lead others.

• Capability to work independently.

• Proficient in conducting advanced analytics and scenario-based outcome assessments.

• Experience with supply market analysis, value analysis, benchmarking, and utilization assessments.

• Competence in conducting competitive analysis and bidding.

• Ability to develop and implement supplier negotiation strategies.

• Skill in evaluating contractual agreements, proposals, commercial terms, business risks, and adherence to guidelines.

• Ability to ensure accuracy, integrity, and validity of data.

• Proficient in facilitating Value Analysis meetings.

• Capability to develop complex bid solicitations and evaluate proposals.

• Expertise in negotiating multi-million-dollar vendor contracts.

• Ability to build relationships with suppliers and establish supplier performance management processes.

• Willingness to travel for an annual on-site system meeting.
