Strategic Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for managing all supplier commercial relationships within designated business sectors, ensuring targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and supply continuity.

• Create and execute Supplier strategies that satisfy both internal and external customer requirements.

• Assist in new product development initiatives across the business unit by establishing supplier strategies, overseeing costs to achieve product margin objectives, and facilitating product launch to mass production.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of supplier contracts, which includes corporate agreements, annual pricing negotiations and awards, payment terms, and inventory management.

• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to develop and align Supplier technical roadmaps.

• Responsible for assessing supplier performance and ratings based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost while working with sites.

• Lead Supplier and expenditure consolidation efforts across multiple sites within the North America region, aligning with corporate goals and directives.

• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate new Suppliers in accordance with corporate strategies and in collaboration with Sales and Engineering as necessary.

• In partnership with sites, evaluate and execute Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and minimizing PPV impacts on the business.

• Provide support to sites as needed to maintain critical customer service levels through supplier escalation, alternate sourcing, and secondary sourcing strategies.

• Willingness to travel internationally to support development and launch activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business or procurement.

• Proven experience negotiating with suppliers in a low-volume manufacturing setting.

• Knowledge of electronic components (such as printed circuit board assembly, wire/cable assemblies, controls, semiconductors) and thermal components (including pumps, fans, compressors).

• Familiarity with metal fabrication technologies is an advantage.

• Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities.

• Prior experience in a high mix/low volume manufacturing context.

• Experience in international supply chain management, including incoterms and landed costs.

• Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
