This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Oversee all sourcing initiatives in the APAC region to align with both regional and global business goals.
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that enhance cost efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and supply reliability.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and cultivate strategic suppliers within the APAC region.
• Lead activities related to supplier scouting, market analysis, localization, and the qualification of new suppliers.
• Promote the development of supplier capabilities and continuous improvements in cost, quality, delivery, capacity, innovation, and agility.
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards, business evaluations, corrective actions, and developmental plans.
• Direct commercial negotiations regarding pricing, productivity, capacity, quality enhancements, and contract terms.
• Optimize the overall cost of ownership while ensuring quality and service standards are met.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and leadership from business units.
• Lead, nurture, and mentor a sourcing team in the APAC region.
• Set objectives, priorities, and performance expectations while building organizational capabilities.
• Travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region and globally up to 30% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An MBA, Master's degree, or relevant professional certification is preferred.
• Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier development, supply chain, or manufacturing within a global industrial or manufacturing context.
• Proven experience in leading sourcing teams and organizations throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
• A successful record of identifying, qualifying, and developing strategic suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of APAC supply markets, manufacturing capabilities, cost structures, and sourcing methodologies.
• Experience in supporting localization efforts and global sourcing initiatives.
• A demonstrated history of delivering productivity enhancements, cost savings, and improvements in supplier performance.
• Strong capabilities in supplier relationship management and negotiation.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Ability to evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and operational performance.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic reasoning skills.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to work effectively across diverse cultures, regions, and global organizations.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region and globally up to 30% of the time.
