Senior Category Manager, EI&C

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee category and operational management for designated commodities.

• Enhance total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to achieve organizational objectives.

• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers associated with assigned commodities.

• Maintain and nurture supplier relationships within designated commodities.

• Organize the segmentation of assigned spending into sub-commodity categories.

• Formulate commodity strategies aimed at improving Total Cost of Ownership while ensuring supply continuity.

• Recognize and address current and potential risks and opportunities.

• Drive the implementation of commodity strategies through the preferred supplier list.

• Analyze outputs from Power BI and other tools to pinpoint commodity spending and cost drivers.

• Conduct regular reviews of supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers, teams, and senior leadership.

• Develop presentations for supplier reviews, commodity playbooks, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analyses.

• Create strategies to achieve annual results in line with procurement metrics.

• Research, monitor, and communicate industry trends, best practices, relevant indices, and competitive offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 7 years of procurement experience.

• More than 5 years of experience in negotiations, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and contract development.

• Proficient in vendor management, encompassing purchase order issuance, execution, and administration.

• Familiarity with a project ERP system such as SAP or Ariba, or similar systems in a global enterprise.

• Experience in industries with EPC projects is preferred.
