This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• In the role of Strategic Sourcing Lead within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team, you will take charge of developing and guiding strategic sourcing initiatives, drafting and negotiating contract terms and documentation, as well as analyzing expenditures related to specific indirect spend categories.
• Lead indirect sourcing projects for Marketing concurrently, which includes crafting effective sourcing strategies, driving strategic enhancements, and achieving operational objectives, savings targets, and business strategies.
• Perform total cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to assist team members in comprehending trade-offs and the advantages of various outcomes.
• Support the analysis and planning for diverse elements of indirect spend categories to guarantee operational success and outcomes.
• Utilize sourcing tools to aid departmental efforts in refining and enhancing procurement processes and policies.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with business stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
• Collaborate with various corporate functions (such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal, etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and associated activities.
• Review, modify, and negotiate contract language.
• Aid in the development and management of strategic and complex contract renewals.
• Participate in supplier relationship management activities (including regular business reviews, vendor scorecarding, etc.).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing for Marketing, covering areas such as Growth, Creative, Brand, Portfolio & Brand Strategy, Retention, Promotion, etc.
• Proven ability to lead sourcing projects, negotiate and author contracts, and drive savings/value.
• Excellent skills in relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal interactions, motivation, and influencing; capable of coordinating across related disciplines and engaging key stakeholders.
• Experience in coordinating teams, gathering insights, and constructively challenging internal stakeholders' conventional thinking.
• Familiarity with multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies.
