Strategic Procurement Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and onboard new carrier partners

• Utilize tools, technology, and established networks to acquire new business

• Support the Pricing team with rates for RFPs, spot quotes, and special requests

• Make decisions regarding carrier routing

• Negotiate contracts and leverage existing relationships

• Engage in cold calling

• Collaborate with Carrier Procurement to enhance relationships

• Contract and create a routing guide for the carrier network based on customer needs

• Address and escalate issues faced by carriers

• Improve processes and efficiencies in carrier selection to enhance customer experience

• Supervise, engage, and contribute to daily account success

• Foster partnerships with internal teams and leaders who interact with clients

• Identify issues, determine actionable steps, and implement solutions to resolve problems

• Comprehend the technology platform and promote automation

• Analyze and understand market trends and seasonal changes

• Execute other assigned duties

• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

• Bachelor's degree is preferred

• 1 year of related experience is preferred

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred

• Ability to continuously sit and operate a keyboard, calculator, and telephone

• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, stoop, and/or kneel

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

• Close vision and capacity to adjust focus
