This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the complete vendor contract lifecycle, encompassing new vendor searches, renewals, true-ups, amendments, and terminations.
• Oversee relationships with software, cloud, technology, compliance, audit, and operational service providers.
• Maintain a centralized repository for vendor agreements and procurement documentation.
• Create and manage a renewal calendar that tracks notice periods and pricing adjustments.
• Monitor and enforce SLAs, performance commitments, and contractual obligations.
• Facilitate vendor performance reviews, escalations, consolidations, and rationalizations.
• Spearhead SaaS, cloud, IT, and enterprise sourcing initiatives.
• Direct negotiations for renewals and new purchases while benchmarking pricing.
• Collaborate with department leaders to assess purchasing needs and vendor options.
• Assist in RFP and RFQ processes, as well as cross-functional evaluation teams.
• Identify opportunities for license rationalization, cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and expenditure reduction.
• Develop total cost of ownership models for buy-versus-build-versus-consolidate decisions.
• Define and enforce procurement policies, vendor criteria, preferred-vendor lists, onboarding checklists, and approval workflows.
• Enhance procurement intake, standardization of purchasing, and documentation practices.
• Coordinate purchase requests, purchase orders, budgeting, and invoice validation with Finance.
• Conduct vendor risk assessments that encompass data security, SOC 2, privacy, and business continuity.
• Oversee legal, security, privacy, and compliance reviews for new vendors.
• Support audits, procurement compliance, and Procure-to-Pay enhancements.
• Track software utilization, license consumption, contract commitments, and vendor spending trends.
• Create technology spending and renewal dashboards.
• Aid in software and cloud budgeting and forecasting.
• Analyze contracted spending against actual usage to pinpoint savings and risks.
• Support TCO, ROI, cost allocation, and business-case evaluations.
• Report directly to the VP, Finance & Treasurer while collaborating with Finance, IT, Security, Tech Ops, Product, Engineering, and business leaders.
• Contribute to strengthening procurement for LogiSense’s cloud-based usage-based and subscription billing platform.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or technology purchasing.
• Proven experience leading vendor negotiations and procurement initiatives.
• Direct experience in managing SaaS and/or cloud vendor contracts, including renewals, true-ups, multi-year agreements, and various licensing models.
• Strong skills in negotiation, commercial analysis, and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for developing spend models, cost allocations, forecasts, and decision-support analyses.
• Capability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional leaders.
• Experience in establishing or significantly enhancing a procurement or vendor management function with minimal existing structure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or technology company is advantageous.
• Familiarity with infrastructure, cloud marketplaces, and SaaS licensing models is a plus.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Airbase, Coupa, ContractSafe, or similar procurement, ERP, or contract management platforms is beneficial.
• Experience supporting remote-first organizations is a plus.
• Working knowledge of procurement governance, contract lifecycle management, vendor risk, SOC 2, and compliance requirements is a bonus.
