This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Deliver integrated strategic planning and communication assistance for the Military Reintegration and Transition Portfolio.
• Collaborate with clients to establish organizational priorities and initiate new projects.
• Create prevention resources and compose concise updates for the portfolio.
• Develop and oversee actionable roadmaps to ensure program requirements are fulfilled.
• Foster clear and consistent communication among stakeholders and cross-workstream team members.
• Evaluate, create, and implement written and visual communication content related to suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.
• Craft innovative messaging products and campaigns to enhance suicide prevention initiatives associated with military reintegration.
• Promote the adoption of tools and resources among the audience/users.
• Offer program and administrative support, including action tracking, requirement coordination, and portfolio execution assistance.
• Compose summaries, status updates, and tasker inputs based on client directions.
• Organize documentation, compile research notes, and maintain reference materials.
• Assist transitioning service members and further the mission of the Department of War.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of directly relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in Strategic Planning, with experience in managing roadmaps and utilizing prioritization matrices.
• Skilled in developing communication strategies and materials, including fact sheets, one-pagers, pocketbooks, multimedia content, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Established ability to provide program and administrative support, encompassing action tracking, requirement coordination, and portfolio execution assistance.
• Experience in drafting straightforward summaries, status updates, and tasker inputs following client guidance.
• Strong organizational and knowledge management abilities for document organization, research note compilation, and reference material maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to aid in the development of analyses, summaries, and other prevention response materials.
• Capacity to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic mission environment.
• Experience in a military setting or with military personnel.
• Some knowledge or a quick aptitude for learning about transitioning service members and military reintegration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator.
• Experience within a Department of War or government agency creating communication materials for military audiences.
• U.S. citizenship is required; citizenship must be verified via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.
