Strategic Planning Analyst

📋 Description

• Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities by utilizing a combination of financial data, operational metrics, market trends, and qualitative insights to discern trends, risks, and possibilities.

• Quickly synthesize extensive information, developing hypotheses, rigorously testing them, and refining insights as new data becomes available.

• Collaborate closely with commercial and operational leaders to interpret business outcomes and offer decision-oriented guidance rather than mere reporting.

• Generate insights related to internal business performance, as well as industry-wide and adjacent market dynamics.

• Convert analysis into coherent narratives and recommendations that resonate with stakeholders who may not have a financial background.

• Pose insightful follow-up questions, constructively challenge assumptions, and assist leaders in viewing data from new perspectives.

• Prioritize insight generation and interpretation over budgeting, forecasting cycles, or P&L accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Around 8+ years of experience in strategy, business analysis, consulting, or analytically driven roles with significant business exposure.

• A solid financial and analytical background, without being overly focused on accounting, budgeting, or conventional FP&A.

• Experience adopting a consulting approach: defining ambiguous problems, structuring analyses, and guiding stakeholders toward informed decisions.

• Proven ability to merge quantitative analysis with qualitative insights to clarify the implications of data for the business.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—particularly the capability to engage stakeholders, ask pertinent follow-up questions, and influence through insight.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and quickly grasping a business's context, connecting disparate elements, and validating assumptions.

• A history of delivering actionable insights rather than mere analysis for its own sake.
