Chief Financial Officer – CFO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the financial strategy to foster company growth, product innovation, and market expansion.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on capital distribution, funding needs, and investment priorities.

• Provide insights into cash flow, runway, burn rate, and financial scenarios to aid strategic decision-making.

• Assess growth opportunities by considering enterprise value, risk, and long-term viability.

• Direct financial preparations for fundraising efforts, strategic investments, debt arrangements, and other capital initiatives.

• Create investor-ready financial reports, narratives, and supplementary materials.

• Assist in due diligence processes with investors, lenders, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.

• Convert technical and operational projects into clear financial results and business value.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team regarding growth, investment, partnership, and expansion strategies.

• Develop frameworks to assess financial, operational, contractual, and market risks.

• Question assumptions, identify emerging risks, and facilitate risk-adjusted decision-making.

• Collaborate with external tax, audit, legal, and financial advisors to ensure compliance and support company growth.

• Lead and enhance the finance and accounting department, including systems, processes, and accountability frameworks.

• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial reporting, tax strategy, audits, and compliance efforts.

• Establish reporting, controls, governance, and financial infrastructure to support a growing organization.

• Maintain preparedness for future investment, acquisition, liquidity, or strategic transaction opportunities.

• Set metrics and operational rhythms that provide visibility into organizational performance and enterprise value.

• Experience in supporting founder-led, venture-backed, private equity-backed, or rapidly growing technology firms.

• Strong comprehension of how investors, lenders, boards, and strategic partners assess businesses.

• Capability to convert intricate financial data into clear, actionable business decisions.

• Proven judgment in capital allocation, growth investments, and risk management.

• Experience in leading finance and accounting teams, audits, compliance initiatives, and relationships with external advisors.

• Ability to foster financial rigor and accountability without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

• Comfortable working in dynamic environments where priorities shift rapidly and information may be incomplete.

• Formal education in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience gained through progressive financial leadership roles.

• **Preferred Qualifications / Accelerators**

• Experience in supporting AI, software, cloud infrastructure, HPC, data centers, or other emerging technology sectors.

• Experience with fundraising, strategic investments, debt arrangements, acquisitions, or liquidity events.

• Experience preparing organizations for institutional investment, acquisition, or exit strategies.

• Familiarity with recurring revenue, technology services, infrastructure, or product-based business models.

• Experience collaborating with venture capital, private equity, family offices, strategic investors, or institutional lenders.

• Experience assisting organizations in transitioning from founder-led growth to institutional scale.

• Familiarity with government contracting, public sector opportunities, or heavily regulated industries.
