• Analysts generate essential insights for our clients through published research and client engagement, helping to address organizational challenges that enhance performance.
• Interact with clients daily via phone, video conferences, or even in-person at Gartner events.
• Investigate practices, trends, and technologies, and produce research for Gartner clients to access online or download for application.
• Develop insightful and actionable research for General Counsel, offering best practices and guidance on board governance, risk management, and the future of the legal function.
• Stay ahead of emerging developments and issues (e.g., M&A trends, regulatory shifts) by understanding the broader market and ecosystem relevant to the legal function and the success of GCs.
• Provide sales support by acting as the voice of the market and a domain expert, assisting Gartner’s commercial team in presenting a vision of service for potential clients.
• Collaborate with other Gartner analysts in the creation of content aimed at engaging clients, helping them make progress on their critical priorities.
• Deliver high-quality and timely peer reviews of colleagues’ research content.
• Create and present high-value materials (in-person or virtual) for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, webinars, and client briefings.
• Over 12 years of relevant experience, including a background as a corporate in-house lawyer.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• JD degree is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in presenting to the board, leading and/or coordinating risk management initiatives, formulating function strategies, and nurturing talent and relationships across the organization.
• Knowledge and experience as a General Counsel or in a comparable position (AGC/DGC).
• Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the highest levels of an organization (e.g., CEO, GC, Board of Directors, Chief Audit Executives, Head of Risk/ERM, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer).
• Exhibit executive presence with the capability to establish credibility with executives and various stakeholders.
• High learning agility and comfort in navigating complex, rapidly changing environments.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and influence at all organizational levels.
