Legal and Compliance Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer legal and compliance assistance in client contracting, vendor management, HIPAA privacy and security issues, general operational matters, and other related activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing (any US jurisdiction) is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to healthcare, health IT, or revenue cycle management (RCM) is strongly preferred.

• Direct experience in contract drafting and negotiation.

• Proficient understanding of HIPAA/HITECH, including privacy and security rule requirements.

• Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks and Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidance.
