Strategic Initiatives Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the President and the Manager of Strategic Initiatives on projects that promote animal rights.

• Assist in the development and enactment of groundbreaking animal rights legislation.

• Create and manage multimedia and outreach initiatives for PETA campaigns.

• Perform research on a diverse array of topics.

• Compose letters and various written materials for legislative, multimedia, and strategic purposes.

• Design and implement initiatives to elevate campaigns into the media spotlight and public awareness.

• Attend events and protests as required.

• Travel to participate in and address city council meetings as necessary.

• Engage professionally with activists, donors, corporate representatives, elected officials, and others.

• Advocate for PETA’s positions on relevant issues in a professional manner.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the President or Manager of Strategic Initiatives.

• A degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of one year of proven experience in independently planning and executing initiatives.

• Strong public speaking capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.

• Comprehensive understanding of animal liberation issues and PETA campaigns.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in project management.

• Effective research skills.

• Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgement, and decision-making.

• Capability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to foresee challenges, recognize opportunities, and proactively engage in responsibilities.

• Capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
