Director, Strategy – Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and assess commercial frameworks for customer collaborations and joint ventures, taking ownership of deal terms and financial results.

• Lead negotiations with counterparties and collaborate with legal and technical teams until closing.

• Develop and sustain financial models to evaluate transaction economics and risks across various deal structures.

• Conduct financial and strategic analyses for M&A, asset acquisitions, and divestitures.

• Independently construct DCF, precedent, and comparable transaction models.

• Oversee due diligence, draft investment memoranda, and spearhead integration planning.

• Identify and assess new site opportunities for modular data centers throughout North America.

• Evaluate interconnection, permitting, and market conditions to inform go/no-go decisions.

• Work in partnership with engineering, operations, and power marketing teams to enhance project design and profitability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, project finance, or strategy within the energy, infrastructure, or data center sectors.

• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.

• Demonstrated capability to independently manage intricate deal processes from analysis to execution.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to engage directly with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Interest in renewable energy and AI infrastructure.

• Preferred qualifications include an MBA, CFA, or a similar credential.

• Experience in greenfield project development, particularly in permitting and interconnection.
