Strategic Finance Manager, Corporate

Posted 7 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Uphold our dynamic, driver-based operating model, ensuring it is accurate and ready for decision-making so leaders can rely on the figures in every planning discussion.

• Oversee the quarterly reforecasting process from start to finish, managing the schedule, inputs, and procedures to ensure each cycle concludes punctually with precise results.

• Assist in executing our planning cycles, from the annual operating plan to headcount and workforce planning, collaborating with People and team leaders to align hiring choices with budget and strategic objectives.

• Manage the monthly and quarterly operational rhythm, which includes budget-versus-actuals and variance analysis, while providing insights into the reasons behind the figures rather than merely reporting the data.

• Enhance the rigor and consistency of our SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR and GRR, magic number, CAC payback, LTV to CAC, burn multiple, and Rule of 40) to ensure they are credible and reliable.

• Collaborate with Accounting, RevOps, and our Data team to establish a unified source of truth for our data and facilitate a quicker monthly closing process.

• Prepare analyses and supporting documents for board and investor reporting, working closely with the Head of Strategic Finance and CFO.

• Lead special strategic and scenario analyses that empower leaders across the organization to make quicker, well-informed decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, preferably including time at a high-growth software firm.

• Advanced financial modeling expertise, encompassing three-statement and driver-based operating models, cohort analysis, and scenario planning.

• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economics, including ARR, NRR and GRR, CAC payback, LTV to CAC, magic number, and burn multiple.

• Proficiency in working directly with data, including experience writing SQL and navigating a modern data warehouse and BI tools (for instance, Snowflake, dbt, and Looker or Omni).

• Exceptional skills in Excel or Google Sheets, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Clear and concise communication abilities, with the skill to translate complex analyses into actionable narratives for executives and the board.

• High sense of ownership and a low ego, comfortable leading workstreams independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

• A fundamental principles mindset and sound business judgment, coupled with a genuine curiosity about the operational aspects of the business.

🏝️ Benefits

• Meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options.

• Early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.
