Strategic Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of cross-functional KPI reporting and deliver precise, timely performance insights to teams.

• Actively communicate essential performance indicators.

• Spearhead ad hoc strategic planning sessions with leadership to assess initiatives, market prospects, and business trade-offs.

• Address ad hoc analysis requests from both executive and departmental stakeholders.

• Manage company-wide FP&A responsibilities, encompassing Board and investor reporting, long- and short-term financial planning, variance analysis, and other financial reporting tasks.

• Safeguard the integrity of the underlying reporting data and tackle data-quality issues at their origin.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance data models and reporting capabilities, utilizing AI for technical data infrastructure work.

• Effectively communicate insights to non-financial audiences and convert data into actionable recommendations.

• Report directly to the CFO and collaborate regularly across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a comparable high-rigor analytical field.

• Background in FP&A or strategic finance at an operating company, preferably a high-growth SaaS or software startup.

• Strong grasp of core SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, magic number, burn multiple, and rule of 40.

• Exceptional financial modeling abilities.

• Proven experience in building processes and tools from the ground up, ideally using AI.

• Capacity to provide data within context and a perspective that supports leadership decisions.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to simplify complex analyses into clear insights for non-financial audiences.

• Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple requests while ensuring data quality and meeting deadlines.

• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with dbt and Snowflake or similar modern data-stack tools.

• Experience in a company with approximately 100 employees or fewer.

• Knowledge of SQL.

• Acquainted with BI/dashboarding tools.

• Familiar with FP&A tools.
