This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.
β’ Take charge of forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning β create and uphold financial models that support the annual budget, as well as quarterly and monthly forecasts, and multi-year strategic plans.
β’ Manage the planning cycles from start to finish β collaborate with department heads to formulate plans that are both achievable and ambitious, while serving as the sole owner of FP&A throughout the process.
β’ Transform results into actionable insights β assess actual performance against the budget and forecasts, clarify variances, and convert outcomes into strategies for future actions.
β’ Establish and monitor essential metrics β create KPIs and design clear, reliable dashboards and reports that provide leadership with prompt insights into performance.
β’ Act as a genuine business partner β integrate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations to facilitate strategic initiatives through financial analysis and insights.
β’ Influence significant decisions β prepare high-quality analyses and presentations for the executive team regarding financial performance, unit economics, and critical business drivers.
β’ Assist with strategic and ad-hoc projects β model scenarios for fundraising, new product launches, pricing strategies, and market expansion efforts.
β’ Elevate the standards of finance operations β spearhead process enhancements within the FP&A function to increase speed, accuracy, and scalability.
β’ 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or strategic finance, preferably within a high-growth startup or technology firm.
β’ Outstanding financial modeling expertise β capable of constructing complex, elegant, and genuinely functional models, and proficient with relevant tools.
β’ Proven application of AI in your work β you have effectively utilized AI tools for forecasting, analysis, automation, or reporting tasks.
β’ A solid understanding of GAAP, the three financial statements, and their interconnections.
β’ Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, discern key trends, and convey findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
β’ Excellent communication and presentation abilities, along with the discretion to adapt messages to suit various audiences β from analysts to the CEO.
β’ Familiarity with financial planning and reporting software; experience with SQL or BI tools is an advantage.
β’ A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset β comfortable being solely accountable for FP&A and thriving without predefined guidelines.
β’ Capability to work swiftly, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
β’ A collaborative nature and an ability to cultivate trust across the organization.
