Senior Associate – Federal Financial System Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee federal financial systems operations by spearheading data validation, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks.

• Contribute significantly to monthly closing processes, financial reporting, system modernization projects, and ongoing process enhancements.

• Execute system data extractions, reconciliations, and validation protocols to guarantee the precision and completeness of financial data.

• Assist with GSM and APLUS monthly closing tasks, including the validation of cash activities.

• Develop and uphold reconciliation schedules between feeder systems and accounting platforms.

• Investigate inconsistencies among system reports, general ledger balances, and financial reporting results.

• Support the Senior Systems Accountant in modernization efforts, data conversion, and analysis of system enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in federal financial management, accounting systems, financial reporting, or system modernization.

• More than 3 years of experience with federal feeder systems, general ledger (GL) systems, FSDW, financial reporting, trial balances, reconciliations, and Treasury reporting outputs.

• At least 3 years of experience in supporting financial systems modernization, data conversion, report migration, dashboard validation, and system enhancement initiatives.
