Strategic Finance Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage comprehensive project-level financial models for capital initiatives within Oklo's Power, Fuel, and Isotopes divisions.

• Develop presentation materials for executive leaders and the board of directors to aid in capital allocation and investment choices.

• Assist in maintaining the corporate long-range financial model by ensuring that project-level inputs are up-to-date and accurately represented at the enterprise level.

• Evaluate unit economics and identify key cost drivers across Oklo’s Power, Fuel, and Isotopes product lines.

• Facilitate capital raising efforts (equity, debt, and project finance) by creating financial forecasts, due diligence documents, and investor presentations.

• Work collaboratively across functions with engineering and operations teams to collect and integrate data inputs into financial models.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, strategic finance, or a similar analytical position.

• Preferred industry experience in energy, power, renewables, nuclear, or other capital-intensive infrastructure.

• Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and Excel.

• Familiarity with project finance concepts, including debt sizing, DSCR, IRR, tax equity, and sponsor returns.

• A solid understanding of capital structure, cash flow modeling, and investment economics.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple simultaneous projects.

• Previous experience in a high-growth startup is advantageous.
