This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide senior leadership for significant, intricate, or strategically important Environmental programs across Florida.
• Establish program governance, defining roles, responsibilities, communication expectations, review cadence, and accountability.
• Maintain senior-level visibility into scope, schedule, budget, staffing, forecasting, invoicing, cash flow, risk, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate Project Managers, technical resources, offices, and service lines to ensure integrated and consistent program delivery.
• Lead program reviews, identify emerging issues, and facilitate corrective actions with Operations, Finance, Risk, Quality, and technical leadership.
• Enhance the transition from pursuit and contracting into project execution.
• Coach Environmental Project and Program Managers in financial management, project controls, forecasting, invoicing, contracts, risk management, staffing, client communication, and issue resolution.
• Develop and disseminate tools, lessons learned, and review practices to enhance project delivery and cultivate future program leaders.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with client leaders while understanding their priorities and long-term needs.
• Lead or assist in major pursuits, including positioning, scope development, staffing, pricing, delivery strategy, assumptions, risk review, and transition to execution.
• Identify opportunities to expand Environmental services and connect Terracon capabilities to create client value.
• Collaborate with Florida Environmental and Operations leadership on business-plan priorities, capability and resource needs, and cross-division collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or another relevant technical discipline practiced by the Firm, along with a minimum of 15 years of related experience; or, in the absence of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of related experience.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be necessary.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification required.
• Proven success in leading large, complex, multidisciplinary Environmental programs that involve multiple projects, teams, or Project Managers.
• Strong project financial management experience, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, profitability, contracts, risk, and resource planning.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain robust client relationships and support strategic account growth.
• Experience in leading or significantly contributing to complex pursuits, proposals, pricing, negotiations, and transitioning into project delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop Project Managers and other professionals.
• Ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively across offices, disciplines, and organizational boundaries.
• Strong business judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Florida based on client and business needs.
• Preferred: 20+ years of relevant experience in Environmental consulting, project management, or program management.
• Preferred: Significant experience with Florida Environmental markets, clients, and regulatory programs.
• Preferred: Experience with large public-sector, utility, infrastructure, compliance, assessment, remediation, or statewide Environmental programs.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant professional registration/certification.
• Preferred: Experience in leading multi-office programs within a large, matrixed professional-services organization.
• Preferred: Experience in enhancing project-management processes, project controls, financial systems, reporting, or program governance.
