Strategic Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the annual operating plan, ongoing forecasts, and long-term planning processes.

• Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to create financial plans that align with strategic priorities.

• Provide scenario analysis and business insights that aid in executive decision-making.

• Evaluate existing planning, reporting, and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and scalability.

• Foster accountability, consistency, and rigor in all planning activities.

• Assist in the assessment and implementation of a future FP&A planning platform.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and business leaders to analyze customer acquisition, retention, enrollment, and revenue drivers.

• Lead a team that includes a Manager of FP&A and Senior Analysts.

• Supervise monthly reporting, performance reviews, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.

• Create executive presentations and materials for discussions with senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles within FP&A.

• Proven experience using metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Life Value (LTV), retention, churn, cohort analysis, or similar indicators to guide financial planning and business decisions.

• Experience in enhancing, scaling, or transforming FP&A functions within complex organizations.

• Track record of successfully leading budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.

• Strong skills in business partnership and executive-level communication.

• Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis.

• Familiarity with planning, reporting, and business intelligence tools.

• A strong process improvement mindset paired with a passion for innovation and automation.
