Strategic Buying Services Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Lead the development and management of essential suppliers by utilizing advanced sourcing techniques and comprehensive commodity management practices for assigned Direct Purchasing commodities.

• Utilize knowledge of program lead times, supplier lead times, and production capabilities.

• Propel cost optimization efforts through competitive bidding, eAuctions, Electronic Catalogs, blanket contracts, commodity planning, opportunity assessments, business intelligence requirements, and advanced spend analytics.

• Take ownership of and surpass cost savings objectives.

• Spearhead process improvement initiatives and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators.

• Oversee the routing of low-value and emergency Purchase Requests with the remote Transactional Purchasing Services team.

• Cultivate commodity expertise and define sourcing strategies that align with market conditions, pricing trends, and technological advancements.

• Manage the entire Purchasing Sourcing Process, which includes bid list strategy, RFQ development, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, sourcing approvals, and contract or purchase order issuance.

• Ensure that sourcing, contracts, and Purchase Order transactions adhere to Corporate Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

• Manage, mitigate, and resolve intricate commercial challenges and supplier risks.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and coordination support to fellow buyers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree; ideally in Procurement, Accounting, Business, or Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in negotiating, sourcing, and managing contracts, demonstrating ownership of complex procurement activities.

• Experience with Direct Purchasing (chassis tools) is advantageous.

• Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SAP.

• Excellent verbal and written English skills (C1 level or higher).

• Knowledge of another European language is a plus.

• Proven advanced competence in negotiation and stakeholder management.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

• High level of analytical ability to tackle complex problems that require strategic evaluation.

• Willingness to travel as needed.
