Strategic Accounts Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations for assigned accounts within the specified territory.

• Identify new opportunities by reaching out to potential clients beyond the current customer base.

• Communicate pricing effectively, provide accurate quotes, and take proactive measures to close sales opportunities.

• Lead the implementation of special programs and assist in customer training events.

• Offer guidance and direction to the Sales Enablement Representative.

• Accurately enter orders with the correct dates and shipping information.

• Efficiently price and manage quotes, including communicating demand and following up as necessary.

• Ensure prompt responses to customer needs, including quotes, pricing inquiries, and technical questions.

• Collect market intelligence such as competitive pricing, customer business conditions, and influences of complementary products.

• Monitor project and opportunity progress using Salesforce, ensuring precise forecasting and communication.

• Engage in annual rebate meetings, quarterly reviews, and regular account check-ins.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales regarding programming, pricing, marketing, inventory, and personnel matters.

• Work alongside the Purchasing Manager to anticipate inventory requirements and ensure timely availability.

• Partner daily with the Sales Enablement Representative and Field Representatives for events, training, and project support.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in distribution or the commercial irrigation industry.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel approximately 25% for in-person customer meetings and industry events.

• Strong grasp of sales principles, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to develop strategic account plans.

• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to sell in a competitive market.

• High level of professionalism, reliability, self-motivation, and time management skills.

• Capability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong abilities in relationship building, product knowledge, adaptability, and organization.
