This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Lead technical discovery engagements with clients to identify business objectives, challenges, and key drivers.
• Convert requirements into customized, outcome-driven cloud and infrastructure solutions.
• Conduct workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and interviews with stakeholders.
• Design hybrid and multi-cloud environments that meet performance, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Define, design, and present hosted cloud and core offering solutions.
• Assess public cloud needs and collaborate with public cloud specialists for more detailed scoping and solution design.
• Serve as the technical lead throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to hand-off.
• Work alongside sales, product, and specialist teams to develop account strategies.
• Engage in RFPs, solution reviews, and scope definitions.
• Create security architectures, including MDR, SOCaaS, IAM, SIEM/SOAR, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure that solutions comply with HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, ISO, and NIST standards.
• Design secure networks that incorporate SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Keep up to date with advancements in cloud, AI/ML, automation, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Inform clients and internal teams about current and future capabilities.
• Translate RapidScale technology solutions and roadmap items into present and future business outcomes.
• BA/BS degree with 6+ years of experience, MS degree with 4+ years of experience, Ph.D. with 1 year of experience, or 10 years of overall experience without a degree.
• Professional-level public cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or Google.
• Proven experience working within a sales team context.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of private cloud and data center architectures, including VMware, Citrix, storage, and networking.
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP, and how they differ from traditional IT methodologies.
• Experience with managed security services and the design of secure, compliant architectures.
• Strong grasp of hybrid connectivity, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, and firewalls.
• Design experience with SAN and NAS, backup and data protection, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and contemporary deployment practices is an advantage.
• Must currently have authorization to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship available now or in the future.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00.
