This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with banks, credit unions, and financial institutions within the designated territory.
• Establish Verus as a reliable wholesale lending partner for non-Agency and Jumbo loan solutions.
• Forge connections with key stakeholders such as retail lending leaders, mortgage departments, loan officers, and secondary marketing contacts.
• Navigate the processes involved in institutional onboarding, approval, and partnership as necessary.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to create new institutional referral and wholesale origination partnerships.
• Actively seek new business opportunities through networking, market analysis, industry events, and direct outreach.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential institutional partners.
• Drive production growth and enhance market penetration within the assigned territory.
• Educate institutional partners about Verus’ products, underwriting philosophy, and the dedicated support resources available to assist throughout the loan process.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, operations, account management, and internal sales teams to facilitate seamless loan execution.
• Represent Verus at industry conferences, trade associations, and networking events.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage banking, wholesale lending, business development, or institutional sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of non-Agency, Jumbo, and wholesale mortgage lending.
• Existing relationships with banks, credit unions, or financial institutions are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business and increasing production volume.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a results-driven sales environment.
• Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with mortgage industry regulations and compliance standards.
