This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.
• Indirectly guide a team of resources and implement a structured sales process to ensure opportunities are available to meet or surpass annual sales targets.
• Formulate strategies and plans aimed at fostering long-term customer relationships and advocacy, while prioritizing resources to generate demand.
• Clearly convey the annual value stream of the strategic alliance between the customer and the Rockwell Automation ecosystem to both customers and Rockwell leadership.
• Communicate the outcomes of digital transformation as they relate to renewable energy, and promote innovation within the strategic account.
• Establish and maintain essential executive relationships to ensure long-term business success.
• Coordinate cross-territory, region, and country efforts with appropriate sales teams and partners for account locations.
• Evaluate industry macro-trends and deliver continuous market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasts, and ad-hoc insights.
• Document the competitive landscape by geography, customer type, and segment, along with a pursuit strategy to develop and strengthen our position.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Sales management team and corporate management regarding dynamics, performance, and sales opportunities.
• Properly apply policies and procedures in adherence to government regulations, including but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, and relevant government regulations (e.g., health, safety, quality, and environmental).
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required – we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.
• Typically requires 8+ years of experience in account management with a focus on Water/Wastewater municipalities.
• Experience in the software industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Business discipline.
• Additional business-related degree or experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in sales, industrial distribution, systems integration, or within an engineering firm.
• Prior experience managing a sales team or leading distributors.
• Experience engaging with all levels of large project customers, including executives, management, and engineers.
