
Strategic Account Manager, Data Center – Industrial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Establish new business partnerships with end-user clients, developing a compelling business case for utilizing Carrier Commercial Service and Aftermarket for their facilities and replacement projects.
• Engage in communication with end-user decision-makers, including C-Level executives, VP of Operations, Directors of Facilities, and Engineering professionals.
• Responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships within assigned existing client accounts while also fostering new customer connections.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers.
• Prepare and negotiate complex sales contracts involving a wide range of accounts.
• Collaborate with field sales and service team members, as well as operations, branch, and regional leadership as necessary.
• Interact effectively with Field Management to support their business growth objectives.
• Work directly with building owners to enhance system reliability, decrease energy consumption, and improve indoor environmental quality.
• Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to position Carrier as the preferred supplier and secure targeted projects in a competitive landscape.
• Manage existing Carrier buying group relationships to optimize service and aftermarket sales.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments, create and coordinate sales proposals and estimates, and deliver presentations.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other internal and external resources as needed to facilitate sales and negotiate satisfactory contracts.
• Prepare precise and detailed sales activity reports, forecast reports, Sales Force updates, and expense tracking.
• Engage in professional organizations to expand a network of contacts and further the achievement of sales targets.
• Collaborate with solution partners to bundle offerings and enhance Carrier's involvement in opportunities.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in engineering, sales, and/or business development within the HVAC, Industrial, or Data Center industry, OR a High School/GED and 10+ years of technical sales and/or business development experience in the same sectors.
• Willingness to travel 30% domestically.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business is preferred.
• An MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience presenting to C-Suite level clientele is preferred.
• Requires a high level of technical and financial expertise to effectively and independently support field offices in selling Carrier Commercial equipment and services.
• Related professional certifications are preferred.
