
Strategic Account Manager – Automotive Adhesives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create and implement strategic account plans for designated Automotive OEM and Tier customer accounts.
• Propel profitable sales growth and meet annual revenue, volume, and margin targets.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with key decision-makers in purchasing, engineering, product development, manufacturing, and quality functions.
• Discover and cultivate new business opportunities within automotive exterior applications, such as lighting systems, trims, plastic components, tailgates, emblems, sensors, and associated assemblies.
• Assist customers throughout the entire product qualification and approval journey, collaborating closely with Technical Service, R&D, and Product Management teams.
• Steer commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and pricing strategies utilizing value-based selling methodologies.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure effective customer trials, product launches, and continuous business support.
• Build a strong opportunity pipeline and keep precise account and opportunity data in Salesforce.
• Keep track of automotive market trends, competitive movements, and emerging technologies to pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5-7 years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with Automotive OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Proven track record in managing technical sales cycles and product qualification processes.
• Strong history of building strategic customer relationships and securing new business.
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements and establishing long-term supply contracts.
• Background in supporting applications involving exterior trim, lighting systems, plastic assemblies, tailgates, spoilers, emblems, sensors, or similar automotive components.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and product development cycles.
• Knowledge of automotive quality and qualification standards.
