This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a representative for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates to assigned accounts, establishing yourself as a reliable partner.
• Implement company sales strategies to meet depletion and PODS targets.
• Articulate and promote brand goals, marketing initiatives, and programs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute in-store marketing efforts.
• Monitor performance metrics for programs, planning, and distribution.
• Foster strong relationships to become the preferred supplier and resource for the category.
• Keep abreast of SMWE brands, competitor activities, and trends within the category.
• Prepare forecasts for budgets and brand depletions as necessary.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding presentations, timelines, and program outcomes.
• Report call results and ensure alignment with the VP, Sr. Director, State Manager, and RVP.
• Oversee assigned budgets and manage national retail pricing according to brand standards.
• Work in conjunction with distributor account executives to synchronize sales objectives and distribution efforts.
• Participate in trade shows and customer events; engage with industry organizations to enhance relationships.
• Handle account pricing adjustments: devise plans, communicate, negotiate, and inform stakeholders.
• A 4-year college degree is preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, ideally with chain retail experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with IRI, Nielsen, and other category management tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the retail, grocery, warehouse club, and drugstore sectors, focusing on operations, merchandising, category management, and financial metrics.
• Willingness to meet extensive travel requirements of 30-35%.
• A proven record of responsible alcohol use and appropriate conduct, as well as suitability for licensing, permitting, and/or certification by state and/or local regulatory authorities.
