This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and implement a territory strategy aimed at generating new revenue within designated K-12 school districts.
• Identify, pursue, and secure intricate, multi-stakeholder opportunities with decision makers at the district level.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and closing.
• Conduct thorough discovery sessions to grasp district challenges, priorities, and compliance needs.
• Position Lightspeed’s safety and visibility solutions as strategic investments that align with district objectives.
• Create and present customized executive-level presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Oversee contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and procurement processes.
• Build and sustain a robust, accurate sales pipeline and provide dependable revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate across departments with Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product to enhance deal strategy and execution.
• Offer market and competitive insights to shape messaging, product direction, and go-to-market strategies.
• Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and sales documentation to facilitate forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, particularly in EdTech or SaaS settings is highly desirable.
• A proven history of consistently achieving or surpassing sales quotas in a new-business sales capacity.
• Experience in selling to K-12 school districts or public sector entities.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers.
• Strong consultative and solution-oriented selling abilities.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at the executive level.
• High level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability for achieving results.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and contemporary sales enablement tools.
• Comfortable conducting remote sales and leading virtual demonstrations, meetings, and negotiations.
