This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the multi-year account strategy for designated large and intricate employer pharmacy benefit manager clients.
• Act as the primary executive-level liaison for client leadership.
• Clarify options, trade-offs, and ramifications of complex pharmacy benefit choices.
• Spearhead renewal strategies and negotiations involving underwriting, legal, and finance departments.
• Formulate and present recommendations regarding pricing, guarantees, and solution design.
• Discover growth opportunities through financial and strategic assessments.
• Utilize analytics platforms and AI-driven tools to monitor performance and pinpoint risks or opportunities.
• Analyze financial data and convey findings to clients and internal leadership.
• Oversee consultant relationships impacting assigned accounts.
• Represent the organization in competitive scenarios while integrating market and regulatory factors.
• Guide internal partners, including Account Executives and functional teams.
• Raise issues related to risks, resource requirements, and execution challenges through leadership channels.
• Identify client pain points and collaborate across the organization to implement solutions.
• Travel up to 40%, including overnight and last-minute trips as business demands dictate.
• Over 7 years of experience in healthcare or managed care.
• Familiarity with large employer accounts.
• Proven experience in leading intricate renewals and pricing negotiations.
• Capability to convert financial data into straightforward recommendations.
• Confidence in engaging with senior client and consultant stakeholders.
• Sound judgment in high-pressure and ambiguous situations.
• Knowledge of the economic and operational aspects of pharmacy benefit management delivery.
• Strong digital and AI proficiency, including utilizing advanced tools for complex judgment and client decision-making.
• Senior-level experience in managing large employer or health plan relationships.
• Background in a pharmacy benefit manager sales or service executive capacity.
• Experience in regulated or policy-influenced healthcare environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including overnight and short-notice trips.
