• Tasked with building and nurturing relationships with corporate C-suite and VP-level customer accounts to identify opportunities, share valuable insights, and increase share of wallet.
• Acquire knowledge of client segments, purchasing cycles, business goals and objectives, key challenges, and pinpoint opportunities to align our Covetrus solutions with the unmet needs of decision-makers, thereby enhancing partnerships.
• Collaborate with Pricing, the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and the VP of Strategic Accounts to negotiate customer contracts aimed at boosting profitability and creating a competitive edge.
• Engage with customers to establish a mutually agreed strategic direction that aligns with their business objectives, followed by the creation of a formal account plan and coordination of internal resources necessary for execution.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews that present KPIs reflecting value and deliverables.
• Serve as the internal quarterback, integrating relevant subject matter experts into customer discussions to promote new business lines, enhance performance, and guide service teams in swiftly resolving issues.
• Collaborate with Internal and External Regional Directors and Account Managers on corporate accounts to inform, identify opportunities, and drive corporate initiatives and growth across all business lines.
• Responsible for managing customer P&L across all clients to achieve or exceed targets, with a strong focus on profit, revenue, and growth.
• Stay abreast of market dynamics, opportunities, and risks within the corporate accounts sector, including participation in conferences and other industry events.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 10 years of experience in business-to-business sales.
• Oversight and leadership of significant accounts, with experience managing complex customers, including interactions with GPOs, Corporate Consolidators, and major key accounts.
• Experience in B2B Healthcare Services, potentially within the Animal Health sector.
• Strategic mindset with a proven ability to foresee and leverage marketplace opportunities and changes.
• Exceptional communication, written, and organizational skills, specifically oriented towards the C-suite.
• Capacity to grasp and internalize product knowledge and technical materials related to sales, presenting effectively in front of large, complex customers.
• Proven success in motivating, influencing, and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven and goal-oriented, requiring minimal daily supervision.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce CRM, and similar tools.
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing and drafting contracts, RFPs, proposals, business plans, and business reviews.
• Strong track record in sales and marketing.
• Cross-functional experience collaborating with Legal, Finance, Tech Services, Sales, Marketing, Contract Management, and Product Management teams is essential.
• Consistently meets and occasionally exceeds sales targets, demonstrating a deep understanding of the sales process, client needs, and effective relationship-building strategies.
