
Strategic Account Associate, Medical Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on designated accounts, collaborating with senior account leadership.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives, challenges, and strategic priorities.
• Assist in converting client visions into actionable strategies and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the development of annual strategic, tactical, brand plans, and project-level planning.
• Establish trust with clients through effective communication, responsiveness, and strategic insights.
• Proactively suggest ideas and recommendations to enhance brand performance and client engagement.
• Aid in defining the scope of work, developing budgets, and managing ongoing account finances.
• Track budgets and team efficiency to ensure that work remains within scope; alert when requests exceed scope.
• Support forecasting of planned work and resources; report risks or changes to leadership.
• Identify potential growth opportunities and new business concepts and share them with the account team.
• Collaborate with program management to create project briefs and either lead or support kickoff meetings.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on strategy, timelines, and client expectations.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables by reviewing for accuracy and readiness prior to client delivery.
• Assist in managing workload and prioritizing tasks to keep projects on track and ensure billability for self and team members.
• Engage in, and occasionally lead, client meetings, status calls, and planning discussions with healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed on industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitive landscapes relevant to clients.
• Continuously enhance strategic, financial, and client management competencies.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in medical communications, agency account management, strategic account support, or a similar client-facing role, OR an advanced doctoral-level degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent).
• Experience working directly with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and engage in strategic discussions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
