This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Accountable for the sales of storage products and solutions within designated territories, industries, or client accounts.
• Pursues new business prospects through proactive outreach, industry networking, and relevant events.
• Formulates pursuit strategies and develops as well as manages the storage sales pipeline.
• Aids in the creation of proposals, engages in negotiations, and facilitates deal closures.
• Collaborates closely with the Account Manager to provide technical expertise and support.
• Engages with clients, including C-level executives, for intricate solutions in smaller accounts.
• Directs and coordinates supporting sales activities to maintain pipeline quality through account managers, Presales, channel partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Works collaboratively with HPE teams to ensure a unified approach to business development, including comprehensive account planning for end-to-end solutions.
• Evaluates the feasibility of solutions from both technical and business angles to qualify or disqualify opportunities.
• Negotiates lucrative deals to expand the company's existing business and enhance its footprint and revenue within the storage sector.
• Drives sales of the Storage portfolio by demonstrating strong leadership and initiative to effectively prospect, negotiate, and finalize deals.
• Concentrates on building relationships with channel partners, facilitating key technology enablement, and co-selling to end-users.
• Efficiently leads, promotes, and coordinates Storage marketing campaigns (utilizing digital and innovative techniques) to ensure successful launches and sustain campaign momentum in line with the account strategy.
• Serves as a trusted storage solutions advisor for the designated accounts or region.
• Reinforces and communicates HPE's strategy and portfolio to partners and advocates to identify new business opportunities and contacts, including new logos when suitable.
• Skillfully employs references to create narratives that simplify complex technologies for customers.
• Actively cultivates customer interest and comprehends customer purchasing behaviors.
• Connects business and financial advantages with technology solutions.
• Demonstrates the ROI and TCO benefits of HPE offerings for the customer's business.
• Preferred: University or Bachelor's degree.
• Proven track record of progressively achieving higher sales quotas and interacting with a diverse array of business customers.
• Generally, a minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required.
• Experience in storage-related sales is highly desired.
• Proficient in working with an indirect channel model.
• In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor.
• Expertise in selling a complete data lifecycle management portfolio, including block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and additional offerings.
• Capable of conducting hands-on demonstrations of previously sold portfolios.
• Self-motivated and able to quickly adapt to new environments.
