This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Provide advanced support for both on-premises and cloud-based storage infrastructure and associated systems.
• Tackle intricate technical challenges alongside Systems, Network, and Application Engineers.
• Offer secondary support for computing platforms.
• Provision block, file, and object storage volumes within on-premises and public cloud infrastructures.
• Configure deployed on-premises storage hardware in accordance with designs from the infrastructure team.
• Enhance storage security, reliability, and performance through updates, vulnerability remediation, and management of uptime.
• Conduct upgrades and maintenance during designated maintenance windows following change management protocols.
• Oversee dedicated iSCSI storage networks and perform compatibility assessments for upcoming upgrades.
• Engage in and implement service improvement initiatives and storage technology projects.
• Resolve escalated tickets, maintain ticket status updates, adhere to hand-off procedures, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Monitor and manage HPE Qumulo with InfoSight, HPE Alletra, AWS, and various other storage platforms, including their configuration, installation, and patching.
• Create and execute PowerShell or bash scripts for storage management and reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain FAQs, knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Mentor junior team members and provide training.
• Adapt to evolving duties and technological advancements.
• Respond to critical alerts during working hours and after hours in accordance with the on-call rotation.
• Report directly to the Operations Manager as part of the Operations team.
• HPE storage certifications, AWS certification, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or comparable experience in a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or eDiscovery.
• Strong practical knowledge of on-premises storage arrays and block, file, and object storage systems, particularly HPE storage solutions and AWS storage services.
• Proficient understanding of iSCSI with Jumbo frames, SMB/NFS, and S3.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows Server editions and Linux distributions.
• Strong familiarity with PowerShell and/or bash scripting.
• Knowledge of server and desktop virtualization, including Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Knowledge of networking configurations, firewall policies, and related rules.
• Practical comprehension of IT concepts, protocols, industry best practices, and ITIL processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Capability to work with minimal supervision and independently.
• Ability to collaborate across various time zones and regions.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends occasionally for scheduled or emergency maintenance.
• Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Preferred: ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification.
• Preferred: AWS Associate certification.
• Preferred: Expertise in virtualization, operating system, and network troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar scripting and DevOps tools.
