This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide on-site technical guidance to customer-operated utility and nuclear power plants for turbine generator systems.
• Evaluate plant engineering documentation and P&IDs.
• Diagnose issues within plant systems and equipment.
• Strategically plan, organize, integrate, and direct labor, tools, materials, and additional resources to fulfill contractual work scopes.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on power-generating equipment safely.
• Meet contractual obligations for Steam Turbine Mechanical and Generator skill sets.
• Supervise and manage repair or inspection processes utilizing electronic communication, references, and documentation technologies.
• Identify, anticipate, and document potential failures along with recommendations for future outages.
• Actively participate as a Service Team member focused on safety metrics.
• Engage in pre-outage planning and recommend, manage, execute, and supervise projects within the TFA’s core competencies.
• Assist with warranty administration and troubleshooting of issues.
• Support business operations when not assigned to field tasks.
• Effectively communicate with headquarters utilizing company e-tools.
• Adhere to quality standards as outlined in GE Vernova QA manuals and procedures.
• Travel and work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.
• Technical/University degree or relevant experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Services role.
• At least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or installation/commissioning of power plant equipment.
• Over 3 years of progressively responsible experience with various turbine generator equipment and site responsibilities.
• Willing and able to travel 80% across North America, including Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining unescorted security access to nuclear facilities across North America.
• Physically able to walk up to 5 miles per day, climb ladders, and lift 20 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic drawings.
• Hands-on experience with GE, Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM steam turbine maintenance preferred.
• Knowledgeable in EHS rules and their application.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using company electronic tools.
• Strong business acumen and capability to promote GE products to customers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, as applicable.
