This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver specialized full-cycle award management, project support, compliance, and learning services for programs funded by the World Bank and government contracts financed by the World Bank.
• Counsel CRS teams on the management and administration of World Bank-funded grants, government consultancy contracts, and other MDB-financed agreements throughout the award lifecycle.
• Conduct research, interpret regulations, and provide advice on World Bank regulations, procurement requirements, contractual obligations, reporting expectations, ESF requirements, and donor compliance standards.
• Assist in the review, negotiation, interpretation, and administration of award and contract terms and conditions.
• Identify compliance and operational risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Offer award management guidance and troubleshooting for implementation challenges, compliance issues, audits, contractual matters, amendments, and closeout requirements.
• Support due diligence, risk assessments, internal reviews, capture planning, and proposal development for opportunities with the World Bank and MDB.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Program Quality, Finance, Country Programs, Regional Offices, and global support functions.
• Advise on project start-up readiness, implementation planning, staffing, compliance processes, financial management, coordination, and risk management.
• Monitor and analyze award performance, compliance trends, implementation challenges, operational risks, and spending patterns.
• Recommend corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to the enhancement of CRS policies, procedures, templates, systems, and tools.
• Capture, maintain, and disseminate institutional knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives, communities of practice, and cross-country learning.
• Design and deliver training, mentoring, coaching, and capacity-strengthening initiatives.
• Support the onboarding and orientation of project teams.
• Act as a primary resource for Country Programs, Regional Offices, and global support functions.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's degree in International Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations, Finance, Law, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in supporting donor-funded awards, grants, contracts, or project management functions within an international development context.
• Proven experience managing or supporting awards funded by the World Bank and other institutional donors.
• Experience in providing compliance, operational, financial, contract, or project support to complex development programs.
• Familiarity with World Bank Procurement Regulations, Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), and Investment Project Financing (IPF) mechanisms.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to interpret and apply award terms, donor regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-conferencing platforms, enterprise systems, and knowledge management tools.
• Eligibility to legally work in the location where the position is performed.
• Candidates residing or frequently traveling outside their home country must obtain pre-employment medical clearance.
• Preferred: A Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Preferred: Experience with projects funded by the World Bank, government consultancy contracts, or other multilateral development bank-funded programs.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting the start-up and implementation of large, multi-country, or multi-partner projects.
• Preferred: Experience with contract negotiation, subcontract management, and audit compliance.
• Preferred: Experience working in developing-country contexts.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting knowledge management and organizational learning initiatives.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Working proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic is highly desirable.
