Staff UX Writer – Host

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create clear and concise copy across various product touchpoints.

• Oversee content initiatives across multiple projects within a single campaign.

• Generate inspiring and strategic ideas based on product needs, data, and research.

• Evaluate which language and design patterns best enhance the user experience.

• Showcase content and design work to directors, executives, and other stakeholders.

• Achieve consensus with stakeholders and partners on content recommendations.

• Manage deadlines for copy and deliver comprehensive content across various projects.

• Collaborate with accessibility, anti-discrimination, legal, and localization teams to ensure accurate input.

• Participate in writing team critiques to present your work and assist in refining colleagues' contributions.

• Innovate new products, shape content and product strategy, and establish messaging.

• Contribute to the growth, support, and retention of Airbnb's Host community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or content strategy.

• Demonstrated capability to lead content and copy projects from concept through detailed design.

• Experience working with and presenting to executive leadership teams.

• Proficient in drafting content principles, messaging frameworks, and style guides.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout all design and build phases.

• Strong understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns.

• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to advance projects in an ambiguous work setting.

• Familiarity with collaborating alongside other design disciplines using Figma, Airbnb's primary collaboration tool.

• Enthusiasm for Airbnb's mission, a commitment to diversity, and a global perspective.

• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
