This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.
• Develop, engineer, and produce specifications for doors and hardware tailored for commercial building applications.
• Suggest door and hardware solutions that meet security, aesthetic, sustainability, and accessibility standards.
• Design electrified access control products and software systems for door openings.
• Collaborate with Architectural Sales Representatives to enhance customer experience and ensure timely project deliverables.
• Assist in the review of project submittals and the approval process for substitutions.
• Utilize Salesforce.com for managing customer relationships, tracking projects, and managing time effectively.
• Provide support to architectural firms and design professionals with technical, functional, and code-compliant door opening solutions.
• Reside in the Western US; California is preferred.
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for selling door opening solutions.
• Be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and precise.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, time, and projects efficiently.
• Exhibit strong communication, active listening, and negotiation abilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Have the ability to read and comprehend specifications and facility standards.
• Show industry-related technical and sales acumen.
• Willingness to travel to meet customer needs.
• Capability to work from a home office or while traveling.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display materials.
• Hold a college/university degree, preferably in architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or related fields, or a minimum high school/GED diploma with relevant work experience.
• Have a minimum of 2-3 years of industry-related experience with openings, such as commercial locksmithing, door frames/hardware installation, a contractor’s license for installation, or CHD project management in school, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in utilizing and maintaining CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
• A working knowledge of industry-related software is advantageous.
